Round tour from the valley up to the peaks of the Ginsterköpfe. Part of the trail leads over the certified quality trails Rothaarsteig and Briloner Kammweg.

The hike begins at the parking lot above the Schützenhalle in the district of Brilon-Wald and leads in a loop above the village up to the Schusterknapp, where the route meets the Rothaarsteig and the Briloner Kammweg before the Habberg and the Ginsterkopf. At the top you are literally rewarded with the highlight of the tour - at 663 m you can simply enjoy the 360° view!
The route continues downhill again to the refuge. If you like, you can now continue downhill for another 500m to the fire oak tree, which is well worth seeing and which depicts the history of the development of mankind in interaction with the positive and negative uses of wood and fire, and then up again to the refuge.

On the last kilometers it goes back down towards Brilon-Wald to the starting point of this impressive hike.
