At the starting point in Kückelheim, a slate plaque with an image of St. Francis marks the beginning of the contemplation trail. You follow the white dew cross along an 8 km long path over the slopes of the Marpetal through the villages of Niedermarpe and Dörmecke. Along the way, 8 stations introduce you to the Canticle of the Sun by St. Francis.
