With 104 spring outlets, the Almequellen are one of the strongest and cleanest spring discharges in Germany and are also under nature protection.

Deep through the valley it goes and then again up to the cliff height above the Mühlental - very varied and yet no ridge walk.

You can experience the uniqueness of the nature reserve particularly intensively here. For those interested in geology and botany, this karst spring area offers many surprises.
There are two restaurants in the direct vicinity: the Eulenhof and the Almer Schlossmühle. In the immediate vicinity you can of course use other hiking trails around Alme. For example, the Sauerland-Waldroute also leads through Alme.

Alme is located in the northeastern part of the Hochsauerland district and is therefore the gateway to the Sauerland for visitors from the north.

The village is situated in the middle of an undulating hill country, close to the Almequellen. The altitude between 300 and 400 meters contributes to a rather mild climate.

Extensive deciduous and spruce forests in the immediate vicinity invite hiking enthusiasts to relax. The Mühlental, source area of the Alme, is a very special gem for walkers and nature lovers.
