Guests hike through one of the most beautiful stream valleys in Hochsauerland on the Niedersorpe Golddorf Route, whose marker sign is a golden G on a red background. From the hiking portal at the entrance to the village, the trail first leads a short distance to the southwest, passes the glittering Sorpe River, and then takes a climb up to Waldemei. There, a visit to the Klute art forge with its impressive sculpture park is worthwhile. Hikers follow the path in the direction of Burgberg, cross the small river Lüttmecke and hike in a large arc through the Sorpetal back to Niedersorpe. The chapel, built in 1739, is worth seeing: during the last renovation in 2005, remains of an older chapel and pieces of ceramics from the 13th to 14th centuries were found.
