The name of the trail says it all: on a length of 9.4 km you can enjoy fantastic views of the Diemelsee, the Sperrmauer and the Sauerland mountains. Enjoy the ever-changing landscape of forests, mountains, valleys and meadows as you wander through. Listen to the tranquility of nature in the Diemelsee Nature Park. Don't miss the detour to the summit cross on St. Muffert!

At the beginning we have a steep climb - it is the only one - from about 360 m above sea level to almost 600 m above sea level.
Wonderful views reward the little effort. What comes after that can simply be described as pleasure hiking. We hike through different valleys with always new views and panoramas. Shorter sections through forest alternate with paths through fields and meadows. At the end we go back somewhat steeply to the shore of the reservoir.

There are no opportunities to stop for refreshments, but nice resting places for a backpack snack.
