On the country road between Brilon and Olsberg, at the height of the "Langer Berg" lies the "Langer Berg" hikers' parking lot.
It is also called "Gateway to the Waldroute". A seating area invites you to take a rest. Some information boards provide the necessary information about the hiking trails starting there. The low barrier hiking trail "Große Freiheit Siebenstern" with many experience stations also starts at the hiking parking lot.
In addition, the quality tour "Bergbauschleife" starts at this point on the opposite side of the country road.
Always well marked with the W for Waldroute, the K for Kneippweg and the G for Gewerkenweg you will find many interesting things about the mining history in Olsberg.
It is possible to stop at the Gasthof zum Schinkenwirt. (approx. 1.5km)
Public transport can be found at the bus stop directly on the Landstrasse. The S30 line between Brilon and Olsberg runs hourly during the week.
