From November 29, 2025, through January 11, 2026, the Christmas Tree Trail takes you through the valley below the Christmas town of Schmallenberg, winding its way between fields and meadows. The approximately 20 illuminated Christmas trees along the trail make the ice crystals sparkle in the glow of the lights. From the valley, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the historic Christmas town and its festively lit houses. Combine your walk with a visit to the “Silent Christmas” glass art exhibition and a meal afterward at one of the first-class restaurants. Be sure to include the charming specialty shops with their lovingly curated selections in Schmallenberg’s Altstadt during your visit.
