Memorial or hiking parking lot at the small railway wagon
The circular route combines village idyll with woods and fields as well as beautiful views. In and around Referinghausen, you can discover the Open Mind Places designed by architect Christoph Hesse. A short detour takes you to the Pflug, for example.
Families with children will love the Abenteuerspielplatz!
The Burgweg is signposted throughout with the R3 signpost. We start at the hiking parking lot with the small railway carriage in the small park in the center of the village. Pass the playground on the right, then steeply uphill via "Die Polter". Turning right, we walk past the hunting lodge and enjoy a beautiful view of Referinghausen. We walk along the Beerenschlade via the "Burg" through mixed forest towards Deifeld. We reach a playground with a mini golf course and a pedal pool for tired feet. At the barbecue area opposite, you walk uphill over the "Rempel". A detour to the Marienkapelle chapel is recommended here. A steep descent takes you back to the village.
