The almost ten-kilometre "taster circuit" leads along three of the long-distance hiking trails in the Sauerland: the "Sauerland-Höhenflug", the "Winterberg Hochtour" and the "Rothaarsteig".

The hike starts at the hiking parking lot in Küstelberg.

Once everyone has laced up their hiking boots, you first follow the "Höhenflug" southwards. Sometimes through dense forest, sometimes along open mountain paths, where impressive landscape panoramas open up. The circular tour also takes you past the Orke spring.

The Rösberg offers one of the most beautiful viewpoints, where you turn off onto the "Winterberg Hochtour" a little later. The next destination on the "taster tour" is Elkeringhausen.

There you continue on the "Hochtour", which soon crosses the "Rothaarsteig" at the "Heidenstraße" waymark. From now on, you are on one of the most famous hiking trails in Germany. However, you only take a few of them under your feet, which carry you back to Küstelberg through the scenic Hochsauerland.
