Directions

From the Vorspanneiche hiking parking lot, take Trail A2 toward Dollenbruch (signpost for the Dollenbruch 1 shelter). From Dollenbruch, continue along hiking trail A2 toward the Vorspanneiche hiking parking lot. Alternatively, you can extend the hike along hiking trail A7 toward Wigrow to Kölschen Heck (right next to the Wigrow hiking parking lot / recreation area) to listen to the audio story “Kölsches Heck” from the series “Grenzgeschichten hautnah” and search for the historic boundary stone.

Information About Emergency Signs

Hiking trails usually run away from towns and settlements, and every hiker has wondered at some point what would happen if an emergency were to occur. How can I be found here? Where am I, anyway? Can emergency services reach me?

But in an emergency, speed is of the essence! That’s why the hiking trail network in the Lennestadt & Kirchhundem region is equipped throughout with so-called emergency signs. The green-and-white plaques attached to the signposts feature a number that you must provide when making an emergency call. This allows emergency responders to know exactly where you are, saving valuable time.
