Gastronomy along the Golddorf Route-Niedersorpe:
Further restaurants, accommodation and activities in the Schmallenberg Sauerland can be found here.
Guests hike through one of the most beautiful stream valleys in Hochsauerland on the Niedersorpe Gold Village Route, which is marked with a golden G on a red background. From the hiking portal at the entrance to the village, the trail first leads a short distance to the southwest, passes the glistening River Sorpe and then climbs up to Waldemei. There, it is worth visiting the Klute art forge with its impressive sculpture park. Hikers follow the path towards Burgberg, cross the small river Lüttmecke and hike in a wide arc through the Sorpetal back to Niedersorpe. The chapel, built in 1739, is well worth a visit: during the last renovation in 2005, the remains of an older chapel and pieces of pottery from the 13th to 14th centuries were discovered.
Visit the Klute art forge above Niedersorpe with its park and gallery.
Bus route 462 goes to Niedersorpe and on to Rehsiepen in Sopretal. To get there from Schmallenberg, first take the S40 to Winkhausen. Here you change to line 462 and get off at the Niedersorpe "Kirche" stop.
