Following the “S in a diamond” trail marker, this leisurely loop trail takes you from Niedersorpe to Waldemei and reveals the full beauty of the idyllic Sorpetal. Climbing uphill to the top of the Stüppel and past the small field barn, the route follows a rarely used farm road. Near the Rellmecke parking lot, follow the A1 for a short distance until you come across the “S in a diamond” sign again. Hikers will now find themselves at the Klute Art Forge in Waldemei—the extensive open-air exhibition is impressive. The trail then leads hikers back to Niedersorpe across the other side of the valley and continues along the Sorpebach stream to Winkhausen. Continue on to the Golfcafé, where you can stop for a break. Enjoy the great view of the 27-hole golf course here before the trail leads you back to the starting point in Niedersorpe.
