First you walk uphill towards Berghammer. From there, you walk along the Eslohe circular trail and then the Sauerland-Höhenflug circular trail past the Esmecke-Stausee reservoir and from there around the Stilberg back to your starting point.

A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on hiking signs.
Author Tip
The Esmecke-Stausee reservoir invites you to take a break, especially on sunny days. You can go swimming and treat yourself to a snack at "Armins Station", a kiosk right by the lake.
