We hike along the Kurweg to Altastenberg, initially with a view of some ski slopes and the hustle and bustle of winter sports, then later a little quieter.
From the tourist information office past the "Neue Mitte" shopping center, follow the Kurweg trail to the Herrloh ski area. From there, continue along the Kurweg past the Bremberg and Nordhang to the Haus des Gastes in Altastenberg.
Make sure you wear good footwear. Winter boots with a good profile or with snow claws are particularly suitable. Dress appropriately for the weather. Take a cell phone with you in case of an emergency. Use walking poles to keep your footing on snow and ice. Bear in mind that walking on snow can take longer. There may be icy patches on sunny slopes.
Numerous ski huts along the way invite you to take a break.
