Directions

You start the walk at the hiking portal in front of the "Holz- und Touristikzentrum" at Poststraße 7, in Schmallenberg. Turn right there and follow the cycle path and the signs to the "Holz- und Erlebnisparcours". After approx. 100 m, keep right and follow this path straight ahead until you reach a crossroads. Continue straight ahead until you reach the first junction on the left, a section of the "Philosopher's Path".From there, the path leads you a little steeply downhill. At the fork, turn left and then right, cross "Fleckenberger Straße" at the traffic lights and follow it to the right on the opposite side until you come to the crossroads "Unterm Huckelberg" and the sign "Café Zeit am Wasserrad" and turn left into it.Continue along the Lenne until you reach "Fleckenberger Straße", which you cross at the crosswalk. Keep left again until you reach the junction with the street "Unter der Stadtmauer". Turn right here, pass the "Kunsthaus Alte Mühle" and continue moderately uphill on "Auf der Mauer" until you reach "Oststraße". Keep right at this junction and follow Oststraße until you reach the pedestrian crossing at Schützenplatz. Now cross the "Oststraße". Through the small pedestrian zone, "Schützenplatz", you reach "Weststraße", which you cross at the crosswalk. From there, turn right and immediately left downhill. Follow the signs "i" on a red background, cross the street "Paul-Falke-Platz" in the direction of the Stadthalle and from there turn right to your starting point.

A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions and on the hiking signs.

The bus lines S40, S90, SB9, 466 and 461 run in Schmallenberg. Use the bus stop "Schützenplatz" to get to the starting point of the tour.

A limited number of parking spaces are available at the Holz- und Touristikzentrum. Further free parking spaces can be found in the large parking lot at the Schmallenberg town hall, Paul-Falke-Platz.
