Information

Directions

On this winter hike, we almost always follow the black and white M5 trail markings. We pass the parish church of St. Peter and Paul. We turn right at St. Andrew's Chapel and carefully cross Niederstraße at the bottom. We follow Hallenberg Straße on the right-hand sidewalk until the fork "Zum Klapperhaus", which we follow uphill until the fork Schützenstraße. From here, we follow the signposted hiking trail M5 on the "Alter Medelon Weg", past the Klapperhaus playground and the sports field. Then we turn left and shortly afterwards, at the barn, turn right. We follow the path for about 1.2 km and then turn left (still M5). After approx. 100 m we reach the L617, which we cross carefully. We follow the cycle path to the left to turn into the road leading to the right. After about 1 km, the path leads us to the left. We follow the path through the Piezfeld until we reach the radio mast in the housing estate. From here, turn left and return to the tourist information office.

Equipment

Safety guidelines

Information on cleared winter hiking trails

We would like to point out that the first priority of the local clearing services is to ensure road safety. Depending on the weather and snow conditions, this means that roads in public areas have priority over winter hiking trails and are cleared first. There may therefore be delays in clearing the winter hiking trails. However, the city will do its best to clear the winter hiking trails for you,

thank you for your understanding and have fun on your winter fun!

Author Tip

In Kirchstraße you will find the oldest building in the town of Andreaskapelle Medebach, the Andreaskapelle Medebach Chapel.
