Here, the waters of the Alme spring from the earth at 104 different sources, offering visitors to this unique place a sight that is as fascinating as it is meditative. The Alme spring pond is one of the select spiritual and powerful sites featured in the “sauerland.inspiration” project. Here, in the great outdoors, visitors are offered diverse spaces to experience silence and tranquility.
The loop trail is approximately 1,800 meters long and has been designed to be close to nature and accessible to people with disabilities.
The loop trail begins at the Alme Entenstall (Untere Bahnhofstraße). Follow the flat path for about 500 m to the former factory grounds. After passing the factory building, turn left and walk up a paved, gently sloping ramp to the upper canal of the Alme (about 100 m). Following the upper canal, you’ll reach the Alme spring pond after about 250 m. At the information boards (100 m), turn right and continue straight ahead toward the church (600 m). After passing the cemetery and the Grubenhaus, turn right again in front of the church and head back to the Alme Entenstall (250 m).
