Information

Directions

The approximately 3-kilometer circular trail starts at the Schmallenberg Tourist Information Office and leads partly across meadows and through the forest. Without any major inclines (with the exception of two smaller climbs), you will always come across beautiful views of Schmallenberg. It is worth walking this circular trail in any weather. However, sturdy footwear is recommended, especially on rainy days, as some passages can be slippery.Important information:The Römerbrücke bridge is currently closed for structural reasons. At the junction to the Römerbrücke, follow the path straight ahead (Philosophenpfad) to get back to your starting point.

Equipment

We recommend sturdy footwear and sufficient food and drink.

Safety guidelines

A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and hiking signposts. All signposts along this trail are designated as rescue points with official location numbers.
