Hikers can experience a real "Rothaarsteig feeling" on the wooded circular trail, which begins in the pretty federal gold village of Latrop. Hikers follow the red R of the Rothaarsteig through the Lüttmeckesiepen towards Jagdhaus and up to the ridge of the Rothaargebirge. Along the way is the legendary "Millionenbank": whether this was an old smugglers' path or the hiding place of valuable jewelry, no one can say today. The tour leads over the ridge to the "Zinseseck" junction, from here you follow the X23 back down to Latrop - one of the most beautiful villages in the Sauerland. The Alte Mühle Forestry Museum is also located there - it houses a lovingly compiled collection of old tools and documents.
