Starting at the Gleidorfer Kreuz, the trail offers beautiful views of Bad Fredeburg and the surrounding area.
Kirchplatz Hiking Sign—First, follow the X23 trail downhill toward Robbecke until you reach the Donscheid parking lot—then follow the A1 trail uphill toward Kolping Kreuz—Ohlsker Hütte—Mondhandweiser—Gleidorfer Kreuz (3 km to this point). At the Gleidorfer Kreuz, leave trail A1 and continue straight ahead downhill for a good 1 km, passing the “Eickhagen” hiking sign.At the next hiking sign, which indicates 400 m to Bad Fredeburg (473 m above sea level), turn left. This flat path rejoins the A1 loop trail after about 1.5 km; keep to the right and walk back to the Donscheid parking lot. Trail X23 leads back to the church square.Alternatively, the hike can also begin at the Donscheid hiking parking lot.
We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and bringing plenty of food and drink.
