Directions
From the center of Nordenau, follow the Alte Heeresstraße through the Kurpark, past the local ski lift to the Land- und Kurhotel Tommes. Above the hotel, turn left onto the A6 and follow it. Keep left and cross the road at the Kuhlmannssiepen hiking parking lot. From here, follow the No 4 to Nesselbach. The path ends below the Sonnenhof mountain inn.From here, you can either take a short break (in Nesselbach Berggasthof Sonnenhof or in Landgasthof Nesselbach) and return to Nordenau along the same route. Or you can follow the village road down to Astenstraße (bus stop for the S 40), follow this for a short distance in the direction of Nordenau and then turn left onto Heilstollenweg and follow this through the spa gardens back to the starting point of the tour.
Equipment
Sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather are recommended.

Use of the winter hiking trails is at your own risk. Please note that the paths can be slippery and slippery in places despite being cleared. The winter hiking trails are usually cleared after 10 cm of fresh snow.
Public transit
Take the express bus line S 40 to the starting point in the village center of Nordenau (church stop). The S 40 runs from Schmallenberg via Nordenau and Winterberg to Niedersfeld. The journey is free with the SauerlandCard.
How to get there
Nordenau is located on the K 18 in a traffic-calmed, yet central location. The two centers of Schmallenberg and Winterberg are both around 12 km away and can be easily reached.
Parking
Parking is available in Nordenau, e.g. in the parking lot at the entrance to the village (coming from the valley) or in the center of the village near the glass containers (signposts Parken Burg).
