You can stop for refreshments in Latrop at the Landgasthof/Hotel Hanses Bräutigam, Gasthof Hubertushöhe, Gasthof zum Grubental, as well as in Schanze at the Landschaftsgasthaus Bräutigam-Hanses and in the Schanze ski hut.

Directions
From the center of Latrop, follow the hiking sign L2 through the Grubental valley in the direction of Schanze until you reach the junction with the Rothaarsteig. Now follow the Rothaarsteig all the way to Schanze.

We recommend that you bring sturdy shoes and sufficient food and drink.
Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed in the Hochsauerland district. Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and on hiking signs.

Bus route 466 runs in Latrop, as does the Schmallenberg Sauerland hiking bus (closed on Mondays, note timetable).

How to get there
From the BAB exit Olpe via Lennestadt to Fleckenberg. Turn right here for 7 km to Latrop. From the east to Schmallenberg through the tunnel to Fleckenberg.
