West of the village of Medelon, the Orketal hiking parking lot serves as the starting point for the Sauerland-Wanderdörfer region—Orketal P Medelon—located not far from the L 617 "Orkestraße."

Am Gewässerpfad Orke, the hiking information board is located right next to the trail. The local loop trails A7, A8, and A9, as well as the German Unity Trail, are also signposted hiking trails that start at the hiking parking lot. In addition, the Sauerland-Höhenflug and Medebach trails pass through here.
