Olsberg Kneipp WanderWeg - Hiking, Water, Well-Being
In the recognized Kneipp health spa Olsberg in the Sauerland, health is written in capital letters. On the 39-kilometer-long "Wanderbares Deutschland" quality trail around the core town, you'll find 6 natural Kneipp treading points. Ideal to cool hot-soled soles and to let the soul dangle.
Kneipp therapy is based on 5 health pillars: Water applications, exercise, relaxation, nutrition and medicinal herbs. With a focus on exercise and water applications, the Kneipp Trail gets your health going. The best way to try out the stork walk and arm watering is together with specially trained Kneipp path animators. With watering can and drinking cup it goes to the idyllic in the forest convenient stepping places.
The award from the German Hiking Association has just been renewed for the third time. The Kneipp Trail is once again certified as having excellent hiking quality, with a high proportion of natural paths, panoramas, and natural and cultural attractions.
From the Kneipp Park Dr. Grüne it goes well signposted and marked via the district Gierskopp to the 1st pedal point - at the sharp bridge Gierskopp. From there, the path leads back a short distance and through the district of Gierskop to the "red bridge".From there steeply uphill to the next pedal point "am Papendiek". On the way you are recommended, according to the teachings of pastor Kneipp - just take off your shoes and walk barefoot for a while .- The path now leads around the Forstenberg to the Eisenberg. At the Maxstollen many information boards explain the mining history of Olsberg. Further up to the Langerberg, where an adventure trail has been established for some years. Now it goes downhill to the Ruhrauen. Over the newly built bridge the path now leads below the old railroad bridge onto the road in the direction of Schellenstein Castle. Further on you will now be guided to the district of Gevelinghausen. There, the castle is just as worth seeing as the old mill, which can also be visited by appointment. Now it goes along the river "Elpe" to the Elpe treading place, which invites once again to refresh. Further over the district Wiggeringhausen high to the Ohlenkopf. A very long stretch until you reach the pedal station "am Vossbach". The route now goes in the direction of Olsberg. The trail now leads along the pedal point "an der Ruhr" to the Hasley hut. From there the last ascent via the "Klippenpfad" to the summit of the Olsberg. After a special view, it is now time for the descent back to the center of Olsberg. Of course, the Kneipp path cannot be experienced in a day hike. 4 great stages let you experience the trail. Information about the stages at the Olsberg Touristik.
At the 6 natural treading points, make sure that the feet are "warmed up" before treading water.
