The Hochheide hiking parking lot is a suitable starting point for wonderful hikes on the Rothaarsteig. For example, you can walk through the Schwarzbachtal nature reserve to the Rhein-Weser-Turm (lookout tower, restaurants) or south via the Dreiherrnstein and the Ferndorf spring to the Ginsburg (lookout tower; refreshments available).
The designated hiking trail A4, which leads to the Sauerland-Seelenorte "Schwarzbachtal bei Haus Schwarz", offers a shorter circular tour. You can find lots of interesting facts about the hiking area between Heinsberg Heid, Schwarzbachtal and Dreiherrnstein at "Grenzgeschichten hautnah".
